As said, City are on a hot streak right now and it’s likely that only one of the top teams can stunt their momentum. If they drop points now while we’re at their throats then the pressure builds; its worth noting that City almost surged in under the radar because of their poor start, and now the spotlight is back on them we want Pep buckling under the pressure, not gaining a bigger lead where they can breathe a bit.

If you think about it logically, it makes sense.

liverpool win is better if you think we can win the league.

otherwise, embrace second place. city win. liverpool in the europa league.

A draw suits us best - It stalls City's progress whilst not giving the scousers any impetus to get their season back on track and we gain 2 pts on both.

All this is academic really because we've got to take care of our own business before worrying about other results
