Guess Barcelona, Juventus, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, West Hame, Everton & a few MLS sides didn't match his ambitions then.

#@&%!. He deserves a season long relegation scrap and to end up in the championship.

I really hope he genuinely thought he’d get huge offers from all across Europe.

it could be the making of him. Every game will be a dog fight plus he will have Hendo to keep him company

There's a few players who were or still are at this club that genuinely thought they were world class players being held back by manchester united.

they obviously thought they'd be inundated by top offers.

Jesse Lingard, England & Nottingham Forest player won't do wonders for his 'Jlingz' brand.

Yes I can see Ronaldo’s brand taking a real hit. Lingard is a bit more like this weapon.

Another one. Obviously thought Madrid or PSG were going to come in with an eye watering offer. Ended up going to the retirement village of Serie A and earning less.

He probably would've done well under ten. He looked like a different player at West Ham.

I thought that and his attributes may have fit in well, but it's also clear he's a grade A weapon given some of his comments and actions from last season.

Imagine thinking that the club owed him something. Delusional.

Don't care. Entitled, self absorbed man-child. Glad to be rid of him.

He’d basically be competing with Fernandes and now maybe Eriksen though, surely? Wouldn’t want him over either of them even if he did manage to get his act together.

You don't get to play for United or any other Prem team without being exceptionally good at football, despite what some might say on here. Problem is, being good probably only equates to 50% of what is required to be a success at United and be part of a success at United.

That other 50% is what we've been missing in most of our squad for a while now but the optimistic belief is that some of the players are capable of finding it. Lingard isn't.

Maybe Forest want more social media presence? Lingard would be a risky signing in that he could disturb the straight forward honesty and commitment of the squad which has been the basis of their recent success.

He'll take a wage cut and move to west ham imo. Forest is too big a risk.
