Yes - but with eyes wide open knowing full well that he's a @#%&! & wont play attacking football nor encourage massive amounts of youth...

As much as he talks about wanting to stay & create his own legacy somewhere, I'm not 100% sure it's in his character to build from the ground up at a club. Rather the standing on the shoulders of giants approach comes to mind, and as such he'd be well capable of succeding Fergie in that manner & maintaining success. The price being we have a complete weapon in charge & dive a bit more... pff. What ya gonna do?

I actually think Mourinho would give youth a chance at United. He knows it's in the ethos of the club and I'm sure if they wanted him to take over they'd tell him in strong terms.

Chelsea was a different kettle of sheep entirely as Abramovich didn't and doesn't give a shite as long as the trophies come.

Something along the lines of:

"Hello Jose, here's your transfer budget on this piece of paper"

"But this paper is blank?"

"Exactly, good luck."

Precisely.

Although you never know, the ginger gimps might be out by then and United will be run by a council made up of MUST, IMUSA and Tony Benn.

This vote doesn't mean anything. Fergie won't be sacked and Jose immediately drafted in on the basis of the votes of a few armchair £#%&!wits. Don't worry.

i know there's no way they're gonna sack fergie for jose...but my point is this...mourinho may have the results on paper etc, but he is a total piece of shit that doesn't deserve to pick the trash from the seats after matches.

I'd rather he was here than somewhere else nearby. I think he'd be a good choice to follow Fergie and provide that stability we'll need straight after he retires.

He's a @#%&! but he'd be our @#%&! and I'd rather he was our @#%&! than anyone elses.

Exactly, and I think that trait would make him an ideal member of the United family. I also think he has enough sense, and respect, to spend some time working WITH Ferguson before the great Glaswegian retires for good.

No but he's the only realistic choice, unless Laurent Blanc can prove himself at a higher level.

Moyes and O'Neill can £#%&! off.
