I was just a bit too young to see the truly great games like Barcelona live. He certainly gave us hope when we had little. With him, Remi and Wilkins, we had such great variety. Big Ron never managed to sign a great striker, though.

Bit odd really. Can’t say Ron didn’t try but Fergie came in and finally, one proper striker after another. Maybe it helped being an ex-striker?

Quite possibly. Or not signing them from Forest?
To be fair, we were a bit of a striker's graveyard in the 80s, wherever they came from.

Saw Pele live at Goodison 66 as a kid., with the ole fella. Got kicked out. (Pele, not me, even though I was surrounded by dippers got shit from local rats)

Maradonna at OT when Robbo showed him and Schuster who was boss

Wish I’d seen Beckenbauer live. £#%&!ing awesome player.

Eusebio.. what a player, what a man. Saw him loads and he gave me a little autographed gift.

Not the greatest player l have seen live, but performance wise, Rivaldo in the 3-3 always springs to mind, he was unbelievable that night.
