Default United and the media

Is this a new level of negative press pre season?

Mourinho bashing every day, teams in 'crisis', written off before a ball is kicked.

No mention of spurs though, funny that

Us against them, win the first few and it will soon change. c***s.

I think it's paranoia to be honest.

This summer and pre-season has been an absolute shambles. From the recruitment to the tour to Jose constantly whinging. They are only reporting what we are saying on here ffs!

If we had spent like Liverpool have, who have had a very good window, there wouldn't be as much negativity from the fans or the press.

Comparing us to Spurs is a mute point. They aren't seen as title challengers and they have just moved into a new stadium so money is obviously going to be tight for a while.

The media are spot on with their critisism and if it gets that @#%&! out of our club before Christmas, it's a blessing in disguise.

Journo's are paid to produce SOMETHING. If they don't write they don't eat. The more polarizing the article the better (see Oli Holt). It is irrelevant if the article has any basis in truth, because they can call it an opinion piece.

United is the easiest target because they have the biggest pull. As Hopkins says, HANI. It still gasters my flabber that people get sucked in

There's always been a large segment of the media who hate Utd and can't wait to stick the knife in however 90% of the negative media around Utd at the moment has been created by Jose

Nobody to blame but ourselves for the dark cloud hanging over our heads going into this season

Normally despise the media but the negativity represented this term is justified. The fact the media can actually see the shambles proves how obvious it is.

We don’t even like ourselves, something major needs to change, it’s pretty obvious what that is as well.

BBC all over us at the moment. Their latest piece:

Liverpool unluckiest Premier League team & Manchester United luckiest, says study

As has been said, that's what football fans want to see. Fergie absolutely destroyed the lot of them

Not sure I understand the José hate .

1 he’s whinged about lack of signings ... correct .... like virtually everyone on here . Woodward ain’t done his job and the gimps have t shelled out . Probs Cos they are happy with CL qualification . Use of the media to get what you want was not invented by Jose .

2 anything he does or says is fixated on micro analysed and blown out of all proportion by hundreds if not thousands of media outlets .

3 there’s no one else out there who is better .

4 football fans are fickle as £#%&! . Be loving him if they win a few games .

The only other time i can compare this to is pre season 1995 when we sold ince, hughes and kanchelskis and signed nobody after finishing 2nd to Blackburn.

It's reached absolutely ludicrous levels. The press would have been writing this shit no matter what but Mourinho has definitely poured fuel on the fire with the way he's conducted himself on the pre season tour.

Guardian doing previews for every club. The Liverpool and Leicester ones start:-

Jürgen Klopp did not rise to José Mourinho’s assertion that there is “a demand” on Liverpool to challenge for the title for two reasons. One is that he finds Mourinho’s age-old attempts at mind games amusing and an established part of the Premier League show.

Many bookmakers list Claude Puel as the favourite to be the first Premier League manager out of the door this season, a ranking that could be taken as something else for José Mourinho to complain about.

2006 was open season on us. "Shredding his legacy at every turn" etc. Ronaldo and Rooney supposedly hated each other because winking. Chelsea had run away with two leagues in a row and Mourinho was so £#%&!ing smug (Lord how times have changed).
