Until we hopefully get new players in, it’s the only way to hold the fort, allow us to drop The Scottish Player, play to the strengths of Maguire and give CE the hard base behind him to dictate our play.

Otherwise - by the time the transfer window slams shuts and we squirrel away our transfer war chest, Top 4 could already be a hell of a challenge.

Tuchel ball. Or Conte ball. Or Rodgers ball. They're all at it now.

DDG // Varane, Martinez, Maguire // Dalot, Shaw or Malacia (whoever is better going forward) // Fred and new CM // Sancho, Eriksen and Bruno 9. Bruno drops into the Eriksen position if the club can find a decent forward otherwise don't bother. Bruno had more league goals than basically any forwards in the league not Kane/Salah/Son for a couple of years -- trying to bring someone like Arnautovic into this team (whatever personal issues he has) puts serious serious question marks on managerial judgement purely from football perspective.

Honestly think our attacking midfield is OK. Fred / CE for example in front of a good CDM would do a decent job.

I've given up trying to follow the strategy when it comes to signings....
