Re: If we could sell a few players in January and spend the cash
Well, that he was utter, utter shite yesterday is undeniable
Too many of our non-first XI look good when the team is playing well - but totally fail to make the step up when it is required (and yes, Anderson, that includes you) |

Re: If we could sell a few players in January and spend the cash
A little bit of a shake up, 1 CM, 1 Winger and 1 CF, all of the standard to be in the mix for the 1st XI week in week out, is what I would like to see.
I've been bitching about the midfield since '07 though, can't see anything changing anytime soon. |

Re: If we could sell a few players in January and spend the cash
re. obertan, thought he was poor first half, however he always seems to play much better on the left and when he switched over in the second half he looked much better, in fact i would have given himself and wellbeck another ten minutes or so, obertan is young and in his first season i'd give him more time, occasionally looks more than promising but is inconsistent.

Re: If we could sell a few players in January and spend the cash
I'd settle for Ferguson quitting changing 4/5 of the team from game to game.
Good football comes from settled teams. I think I'd leave Neville and, perhaps, Scholes leave given their wages. I don't think Berbatov has shown any sign of being an effective No 10 for us. Nani has been poorly treated, for me, and now there is no chance of him developing the confidence to play for Utd. The latter two could be included in swap deals, the former, I'd rather see youngsters get a game instead - just not all at once like yesterday. Would it not be fairer on Anderson and Gibson to give them opportunities alongside Carrick and Fletcher respectively? |

Re: If we could sell a few players in January and spend the cash
Out:
Anderson: £12m Nani: £10m Gibson: £8m Tosic: £5m Welbeck: £9m = £44m In: Villa: £30m Silva: £20m = £50m That would mean a net spend of £6m so it's obviously never going to happen. In the real world, we'll get rid of all of the above and sign Les Ferdinand and Di Canio. Fergie will say that he feels both can still 'do a job' |

Gibson was never going to be a regular first teamer, Fergie plays him so that he's in the shop window and he'll be gone as soon as we get a good offer. Nani... I don't know what to say. Completly unpredictable but cetainly suffering a crisis of confidence. Better to sell and try to get our money back on him. Berbles though.... |
