Sure. If he leaves and someone else takes him on, unless they match his now out of touch wage demands given his recent performances, we have to match the difference until the end of his contract. If Real Madrid low ball him for two years on the wage front (i.e. 100k pw), then up it after that, we'd have to pay the extra for the remainder of his contract.

While Ronny isn't entirely correct, we've committed to making sure that he gets 375k per week. By comparison, Becker is on 150k per week and City are paying Ederson 65k pw (officially).
