I posted this in the other thread

It will obviously be 433

De Gea (for now)

Darmian----Smalling----Jones / Rojo----Shaw

Carrick / Schneiderlin

Herrera---------------Schweinsteiger

Mata / Di Maria----Rooney-------Depay

Not sure who will partner Smalling and god knows how you can pick the 3 in midfield out of Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin and Herrera as except for Carrick they can all play in each position in the midfield 3
Mata and Di Maria can also play as the advanced attacking midfielders as well #options

Not sure who plays on the right of the front 3 but if Di Maria stays then I'd give him a run in the side in that position as I feel we need pace either side of Rooney

Even without any further signings it looks

Pre-season matches and more signings (and departures) to come

Won't have a concrete first 11 until then but for me most of the positions pick themselves

Rather than trying to squeeze everyone in I think Carrick or Schneiderlin is one decision and 2 from Mata, Depay and Di Maria is the other. The rest picks its self barring injuries.

If Schneiderlin is to be the new Carrick(?) Then he should be played in lieu of him, not with him.

You just know that Fellaini and Young will start

Fellaini and young seem like a parallel universe away now.

Will never forget fellaini's left footer versus spurs that got the run going.

Can't imagine Scheiderlin would move to be Carricks understudy in the year leading up to Euro2016 on his home turf, when he was a nailed on starter for Southampton.

Maybe adds to the idea that Carrick moves to centre back, or his fitness will be managed, reducing his games?

Pretty decent strength in depth now could field 2 different teams that should be beating half the league hands down!

Dave / Valdes

Matteo / Valencia
Smalling / Jones
Rojo / Paddy
Shaw / Blind

ADM / Mata
Hererra / Fellaini
Schweinsteiger/ Young
Schneiderlin / Carrick

Depay / Wilson

Rooney / Pea

I would hope you would never play the second options midfield together (again), but you get the point

Can see Carrick and Schneiderlin starting with Herrera making way. One of the plus points from last season but may see less of him this season when he could really kick on.
