Be very surprised if van Persie is involved in any of the first few games.

He doesn't need to be rushed back, plus it's a great opportunity for van Gaal to use others (as he mentioned during his press conference) and see how they work under his setup.

Its been said before but no Europe this season could be a big help for.

LvG getting to know the team, more time to recover, less players needed.. roll on August!

Why the £#%&! would he rest van persie?

He'll start with his strongest side and continue to use that until he's won the league, he's not £#%&!ing David Moyes

The only 'first team' centre backs we have all in the starting line up

There is no way we aren't signing another 1 or 2 soon!

Any team we put out at the moment will be pretty underwhelming, tbh.

Pretty much the same side as last year with an unknown Spanish commodity and some teenager who likes threesomes.

You then take a look at the Chelsea side or the City and it makes for very depressing viewing.

Yea, absolutely devastated at the prospect of watching a team featuring Mata, RvP, Shaw, Rooney etc that’s been coached by one of Holland’s greatest ever managers.

Underwhelming ffs. Get a grip.
