No need for a delay in any announcement if he was staying and already signed a new contract. He’ll announce it when his united contract officially ends.

Big surge in the betting today on him staying. Looks likely. Grim times

Any joy at this thug leaving is tempered by the fact he would probably be replaced by a like for like replacement.

If they wanted like for like, they’d just keep him. Not sure there’s another like fellaini anyway.

I can’t imagine these other clubs are offering him a fortune so our offer must really be shit. Not a chance he leaves if mourinho genuinely values him.

He has a chance to earn huge money being on a free. Would be surprised if he stayed but would be impressed tbh. Could get a huge signing on fee in this market. Would say a lot for our pulling power if the glory of playing for United trumps easy and quick cash.

If the difference between leaving on a free and signing a new contract was so huge, no player at any club would ever renew their contract. Clearly his offer from united isn’t very good, assuming he genuinely even has one.

Hes come to this point now. Is in that weird position between fringe player and semi important player. Didn't actually play that much last season.

I think he'll take cash and a big role instead of renewing at united on similar terms.

I doubt someone like de gea or martial (both have contracts till 2020) will be in a fellaini situation in 2 years time.

I hope trying to persuade this clown to stay hasn't affected our transfer dealings.

If I had to produce an artefact in 50 years time to define the post-SAF years then Fellaini would be it.

I'd like to blame all 3 of our last managers for signing/ keeping him but can only presume he has dirt on them all.

Am now at the stage where I want him hounded out the club.
