Was class although he wasn't the cleverest defender, him and Rio playing together at their respective peaks would be truly £#%&!ing amazing, rivalled only by Vida and Rio.

Were right to sell him when we did though as he was never the same after his injury and he relied massively on his pace and strength. Fergie well knew about the nandrolone, imagine the £#%&!ing we would have got if he failed that at United, the FA would probably strip us of the treble.

Rio doesn't get the praise he deserves.

He's not as quick as he used to be, but his reading of the game is unbelievable and his timing is second to none.

You hardly see him making a last-ditch lunging sliding tackle, because he never needs to; his timing, reading and positioning is too good.

We're a different side when he plays. He spreads confidence through the team.
