Ole was originally supposed to be a temporary measure and it actually worked. But now more is expected of him and he's not exactly putting his best foot forward.

Conte isn't a temporary measure kind of bloke, he huffed out of Inter for that reason. If you want him you have to be all in and is anyone that all in on him? Gets results but hard to get enthusiastic and, well, he is a bit of a #@&%!. Shouldn't matter but does.

I like the Ajax lad but everyone does. Lack of experience could be a problem there too.

Is the smart play to make a move before the others?

Would have been 3 years ago. He won’t be leaving Bayern anytime soon

Ole doesn’t have a clue how to coach a side to do it but that’s clearly what this squad has been built for

Conte plays defensive shit on a stick football
Plus he’s an even bigger primadonna than Jose

He’s CL record is awful as well
Exactly this.

Zidane seems like a luxury version of Ole tbh. Once his real squad declined the CL fun ended....
Yep.

Where I am with it

I’ve got doubts over zidane whereas conte has done it at multiple clubs in different countries.

He won the league for Chelsea playing Victor Moses as a left back (I think? )

Horrible little bastard nqat but maybe that’s exactly what we need for a couple of season. Getting over the league drought however we do it is important and if that means boring our way to 1-0’s every week then so be it.

We play shit on a stick football as it is. So not a reason to discount Conte. And he's a far better manager.

I don’t know what you’ve seen that gives you that idea. Whatever we’re doing clearly isn’t working.

I’d rather give someone a chance (who’s won titles in England and Italy) than keep pretending that we’re on the right path and that there’s some kind of identity.

why do we have to get a manager who's unemployed?

Would much rather Poch.

If it was a choice between Ole and Wiggy - it'd be Wiggy though. At least he knows what he's doing.

Would any other outstanding candidate leave where they're presumably on a good thing for this schemozzle?

I don't think Conte would go down well at all. Not doubting his ability as a manager but we've got far too many wallflowers in the squad who've been getting their egos stroked for 3 years. Him coming through to door like a drill sergeant would probably send the likes of Lindelof and Shaw into self harming.

They'd come running to work with this squad. Don't kid yourself.

Because that’s what we’ll do.

Moyes was out of contract at the end of that last season with Everton iirc

Van Gaal and Mourinho were out of work (van Gaal would have been by the end of the WC)

Ole probably cost us a bag of haribo and set of training cones

No way we pay big money to buy a manger out of their contract imo.

Tbf, we’ve got Ronaldo now, who is a huge draw in his own right. We’ve also got some really exciting young players, top class centre backs and the worlds best attacking midfielder in Bruno. We might be able to wrangle some managers away.

Yes. Despite everything, we’re one of the biggest clubs in the world and I don’t think there’s many managers watching us now who wouldn’t salivate at the prospect of this squad and doing a better job than Ole.

Going to say Yes, he’s a bell but he is legit. Attacking, proven, hungry & actually has a clue about the game.

Naglesmann of Bayern Munich who has been there 4 months? Yeah, top shout.

Fact is, you're not getting any one decent at this point, as they're all gainfully employed.
