Default Andreas Pereira

Going to be a class player nqat. If he can play like this in a pub team imagine what he'll be like with talented footballers by his side.

Shades of Modric about him.

Having a central midfielder that can dribble is

We have pogba who can do it and pereira looks very talented at it.

Imagine 2 of them next to each other taking turns and Herrera behind them mopping up

Would like to see him played as the deep lying playmaker next season

Could be the ideal replacement for Carrick...

What??

His reading of the game defensively is better than his passing

Agreed

Which is different to 'making a tackle'

Pereira wouldn't be a direct replacement for Carrick in that regard, but imo could well operate as a deeplying midfielder along with a ball winner. I'm not for one minute suggesting he start every single game and be first choice in that role, but would IMO offer more in than position that further up field or from out wide.

Looks way better than fellaini or Herrera as one of the two CMs who push forward.

herrera deep with pogba and pereira pushing on should be good to watch.

Looks confident . It would seem the loan has been good for him.

A great mobile player who can dribble superbly and soot very well is what we need.

The fact he joined at 16 is a great boon as well.

Rash ford, Pogba, Keane , Tuanzebe, Periera and Harrop either being starters or on the bench after all playing for our under 18s at some point is a great and can't be quantified in terms of effort and commitment.

Meanwhile guardiola has to buy the Star Trek enterprise to compete with City.

Genius.

Brilliant young player, the loan time certainly helped. Terrific talent with a very rounded set of skills. Genuinely exciting.

I just hope gets properly brought into the side and used rather than sidelined, overlooked and turned into an Adnan.

Can I give you some friendly words of advice, pal?

Do not invest any hope in seeing Andres Pereira playing a deep-lying playmaker role for United next season.

That's free, considered advice. I hope it finds you well.

you're only making yourself look stupid here. valencia is a tough, mobile bugger who can tackle. that is why he was moved to right back. from midfield. where he was expected to defend and attack, as a winger. I'm just suggesting he should be a bit narrower in midfield, a position he has played successfully and can clearly manage with ease. because I wouldn't play a £#%&!ing 1 or 2-man midfield. but he could certainly play a kante-like role for jose.

pereira is an attacking midfielder. he doesn't even have the defensive ability of herrera.... and herrera is an attacking midfielder. when you think pereira, you should be thinking mata, mkhitaryan, herrera... not carrick.

"when you think...."? what am I even saying?

Pre-holiday Siders on belting-form. Great to see him channelling that sheer hatred of José into a good cause.

Riiiiight....

You're suggesting we play Valencia as a deep lying playmaker?

Because that's where I'm suggesting we give Pereira a chance, as I've said not a regular, but a chance to play there. Imo he has the vision AND the positioning ability to play in that position, whether he's good enough is yet to be seen

The deep lying midfielder doesn't have to be a tough tackling midfield general of sorts. That's not what's made Carrick the player he is, it's down to his positioning ability and his passing range.
