[pure] good, wobbly gobbed @#%&! [/pure]

One of the finest defenders to grace the shirt IMO. Top 3 perhaps....

Tremendous defender, the best CB I've seen. Top, top Red too.

Gerrard, Lampard, Drogba and Rio all gone in one fell swoop. I know all were past their prime, but that's 4 big players out of the league.

took a while to warm to him, but became a top red.

The best defender we've ever had.

hadn't he announced it already? on jonathan ross last year or something?

superb for us; probably the most accomplished and elegant defender i've seen at united and properly clued into what the club was about. deserves time with his family now.

Would walk in to any club and or international side ever.

By far the best defender I have ever seen play for United.

Absolutely world class for us. Best defender I've seen for United and a £#%&!ing top guy too.

Top bloke. Probably announced it today so it would be partly lost amid the cup final hype. Pure class

Shameless reposting of my Rio Will Survive effort from the dark side.

Rio Will Survive

At first we hated him
For being West Ham shite
And then he went to Leeds
Which didn't make it right

So Fergie went and bought him
For 30 million quid
We hoped that he'd play better than
Laurent Blanc ever did

And then he went
To buy some clothes
So the piss test wouldn't show
What he was putting up his nose

Banned for 18 months
And the United fans were hot
We used to hate him once
But now he's probably forgot

And now he's back
And playing ace
He even hit a woman
With a football in the face

He's won two titles
And he's gonna win some more
I hope that silly woman's face
Is really £#%&!ing sore

Chorus
Oh Yo Rio
We love you so
And as long as you keep playing well
We'll never let you go

Oh you and Vidic are the best we've had in years
Not as good as Pally and Bruce
But pretty £#%&!ing near

Repeat to fade...
