Default 10 years since Nani and Anderson arrived

Time flies lads.

They came as kids and left as legends.

Absolutely no chance they are "legends"

Ones a crying @#%&! with no footballing brain, the other is a takeaway loving oxygen mask wearing dancing #@&%!.

the giddyness was off the chart.

Still remember it coming up on the skysports news banner out of nowhere.

Whalefish had been banging the Anderson drum for a couple months so to say I was encouraged would be an understatement.

Mascherano was available a few months prior and was the one we should have signed. Never got the Hargreaves love-in, decent utility player but that Arsenal goal is overstated, we were beating them that day no matter what.

TBF Hargreaves had plenty games where he was completely ineffective. Remember him not being much use at home against lower half teams almost hindering our attacking threat.

Was great over the 2 legs v Barca at right back however.

Every single player from the 2007\08 squad are legends in my eyes. Great team that played great football and were winners. They would piss all over today's bunch of shitehouses.

Anderson, Nani and his mates are second just behind the Treble winning side as the best United team I have ever seen.

think we need a thread to determine who was best imo.

The void between Anderson being excellent and really shit was greater than any other player I've ever seen. Nani should still be here now.

didn't want mascherano at all. i had no idea he could play centreback a bit but it's interesting that the only way he could form a career at the highest level was to drop back...

it wouldn't have worked at united under fergie (but he'd have been perfect for the van gaal team). i still think he'd have been a liability in our midfield. he'd have been exposed and is far far too rash.

hargreaves was great at the 2006 world cup and was exactly the player we needed, in theory - unspectacular, disciplined, tactically and technically ahead of most of his peers in the PL ... got caught out by the speed things happen in the PL and by the lack of structure games can slip into. for 10 minutes here and there but overall i think he was fine.

every top side needs players who allow the stars to shine.

Dunno if it was on here or £#%&!ing RI but we were all being told to make the most out of both whilst they were at Utd until Real & Barca came calling in three years time.
