Dippers as it means that the Berts will be more focused on their return leg match next week than us at the weekend.

It’s like Sophie’s Choice. I’m going for the dippers because I think they’re more likely to get beat in the semis.

Liverpool.
City have a decent chance of winning it, the dippers will get steamrolled by Madrid, Bayern and probably Barca in the semis.

I'd much rather city win the competition than Liverpool.

However, I feel city are better equipped than Liverpool to beat the other teams left in the competition, so I think Liverpool going through is the best result to ensure netiher wins it.

I realise this could come back to haunt me ala 2005, but after saturday City have nothing else to play for and could put the entirity of their focus into the CL, whereas Liverpool, who have a much smaller squad, will still be fighting for a league position.

Ideally it's a poisonous affair with multiple sending offs and career threatening injuries.

You feel Liverpool HAVE to win tonight to stand any chance of going through though.

Logical. A 2-0 dipper win tonight would also leave Pep with one eye on Tuesday, thus giving us an edge in Saturday's completely meaningless derby.

people will console themselves with the bought success / no level playing field if city win anything. bit harder to do with liverpool. their success actually makes us look bad. we'd be challenging for the title if not for city v we're unwatchable timid shite and it's largely self-inflicted. choose your demon.

genuinely not arsed.
I'd have been stressed as £#%&! at the prospect a few years ago but not any more.

City have a very good chance of winning the whole thing so it makes sense to want them out asap, but they'll be far too strong for Liverpool over the tie.
