he's right, if we're honest. aside from his natural ability to majestically time a tackle, what does scholes have? not a lot. couldn't even manage left wing for england - which i'm sure giggs could have done, for example.

He's doing a great job. You listen to him, post about him and more people listen to him. Their listener figures go up and they can charge more for their adverts. It's a commercial organisation and if you want to repay them for their anti-United bias, don't listen to them.

At a stretch you could say that Scholes is more of a hub, enabling other players to be creative by making sure that they get the ball in good areas with time and space to try things. You could even say that statistically he does not get that many assists, but is that the way to define creativity? Downing would be more creative than Scholes then.

Scholes at his best even now is along with Fabregas the best in the league at controlling posession, dictating the tempo of the game and forcing ther teams to use their energy chasing.

The Stopper part is just an indictment of pure ignorance though, nothing could be further form the truth, Batty was a midfield stopper for example, Savage the same.
