Default Champions League 2023/24

Pots already ‘announced’ (some pending depending on qualifiers). Who do we fancy then?

United
Feyenoord
Braga
Lens

Would 4th have meant Pot 3/4? If so, some bonus avoiding that. Would have made for a potentially unenviable route out of the groups.

Is it me or is pot 1 a bit shit? City and Napoli are the only ones who have had fantastic seasons.

Psg are serial bottlers, Munich won their league on the last day but sacked their manager mid season and then a couple directors moments after winning so they aren’t exactly super strong right now.

Barcelona have their own issues right now and we walked all over them earlier on in the season. The europa league teams are just that , europa league teams.

Not saying they wouldn’t challenge us, but just feels like alotnof big clubs aren’t currently where they should be in terms of ability.

Pot 1 is now the winners of the 7 biggest domestic leagues plus Europa winners, regardless of coefficient. Which is actually really great.

But yeah, looking through the draw it's hard to see what a "group of death" would look like for us. Bayern, AC s, sociedad might be tricky.

Rangers in 3 and league winners Celtic in 4. How does that work?

I think that’s just a reflection of Europe in general these last few years. Not a lot of top teams right now.
