They can wiggle out of the paying the fine but UEFA can still ban them from Europe. If anything they’ll probably ban them for longer

Further down the line it will be interesting to see if clubs go after them for loss of income

Its going to CAS and City will get drilled harder for contesting it. Simple as that. City are f***ed.

United have bigger problems so lets not laugh too hard
we're an average team light years behind winning another title, with a bunch of useless chancers owning the club.

but we're not £#%&!ed like city could well be.

Make it known we are talking to top clubs around Europe with a bid to set up a European super league outside the auspices of UEFA and looking to affiliate to FIFA - make it known we are trying to circumvent them and take the big names and big money with us so that their " Champions League " competition will feature Watford and Nevrton and the Europa League will be the domain of Peterborough and the dirty Leeds who will come and wreck their French stadiums again. Send a cold shiver of becoming inconsequential up their spines - if they have one.

I want them stripped of titles. What are the chances?

They should be stripped off all titles and cups, and compensation should be paid to their rivals

Doubtful

I would love it if they were relegated to league 2, but again doubtful

Most likely outcome is....

Reduction of punishment upon appeal...one year ban

Once this is confirmed, premier league will impose points deduction from start of next season...maybe 10 points

Best thing to come out of this, irrespective of the final outcome, is that mud sticks, and city will for a time be the pariahs of the football world. This won’t bother their own supporters who are already crying conspiracy, but any future trophies will be tainted

In time, and this may take 5/6 years, their PR dept will rebrand them as a clean, honest outfit and all this will be forgotten....see Juventus

Apparently Paul Dickov’s equaliser v Gillingham has been scratched and they’re working it out from there.

If that was the case, Liverpool would be on their way to back to back titles.

Michael Brown on Sky sports

“It’s a hiccup”
“These things happen in football”
“Other clubs need to be looked into more closely”
