Very few Kohlers around tbh #schoolchampions

Although even as a youngster who idolised Eric I was quite happy when he retired because I didn't like watching him a lesser player

I was no one. especially playing on the beach with my dad after the 76 final.

in superstriker, my luis arconada was better than dave the save, though.

Fab game.

..with real diving goalies. I still remember that green tape you had to errect around the side of the pitch to keep the ball in. Always touch and go whether or not it'd snap..

happy days bending the players' heads back slightly so they would click down suddenly, releasing a power strike or a curler.

I had the subutteo cricket, with pavillion, deck chairs, screens

You could make the bowler all the spins and paces and angle the bat as well for all the different shots

One of us had the rugby version which was shit - ver realistic

indeed. If memory serves, all the players looked like a cross between Parker from Thunderbirds and Denis Irwin.

I remember being Pearson when I was really young, but from my teens onwards I was Robbo all the way - he was the King, the best all round player in the world by a mile.

If it was after school out on the field in a team game I was always this man....

If it was World Cup in the playground

If it was headers and volleys for some reason I wanted to be this guy. I think it was Mexico 86 and the Denmark kit that did it
