Very sudden and sad.

Pity he and his brother didn't make up before his death.

Different era where the team pretty much picked itself unless you had an injury and had to endure the introduction of the likes of Paddy Roche

Stepney
Forsyth / Nicholl
Greenhoff B
Buchan
Albiston / Houston
Coppell
Daly
Macari
Hill
Greenhoff J
Pearson

McCreery

and then it evolved to include the likes of Jordan, McQueen, Thomas

Jimmy mentioned it in Andy Mitten's book about the 70s, didn't want to be specific but said it was family stuff and implied it was daft. He said they'd not spoken for about 25 years or something but that he wanted to get back in touch.
Very sad if he didn't.
