Default Todays football 18/9/22

Arsenal currently pumping Brentford 3-0.

It’s incredible how awful Brentford look compared to when they played us.

I think Brentford are one of those teams who are a handful when they get their momentum going but if you get on top of them they struggle

It's incredible how good Arsenal look when they're not playing us

They didn’t. They just passed the ball about in a very non-threatening way for large parts against us, and we let them.

I think you need to go back and watch the 20 min period before they scored their goal. They could have had 3 or 4 but for some rubbish finishing. Let’s not bullshit ourselves shall we.

We were sluggish at the start of the second half, nqat, but letting them have the ball and pull themselves out of position was the plan, and it worked perfectly, so let’s not bullshit ourselves. They’re City lite, good at passing the ball etc. but think they’re far better than they are.

Wonder how they'll manage to drag our win into this result?

Their ‘outplaying’ of us is a £#%&!ing nonsense.

Guardiola has £#%&!ing ruined football unless you’re smothering the £#%&! out of the game with pointless possession you’ve been outplayed

They were all over us for the first ten minutes of the second half tbf. But that was hardly "most of the match". They also totally shit the bed after our second.

Yes that’s why I said rubbish finishing. Odegaard and Saka missed absolute sitters.

Odegaard should’ve hit the target, but it wasn’t a sitter, there were players and a goalkeeper to beat. Can’t remember the Saka one? The shot across goal? Speculative at best.

You’re feeding into the hype sparky.

And Fred missed an easy chance to put Ronaldo in one v one. Ifs and buts. They didn’t dominate, they had maybe a combined period of 20/25 mins where it looked like they could score at any moment. They had three shots on target, we beat them and beat them comfortably

In terms of controlling a game of football they are miles ahead of us. As they should be, 3 years under the same manager, but they’ll finish top 4 easily because they look a serious football team again.

This. What does my head in is we do it to them time and time again and the narrative is always the same.. ‘magnificent Arsenal undone undeservedly by negative, nasty United’ No acknowledgement that their naivety has undone them, again, and United played them perfectly, again
