Slimani shouldn't even be on the shortlist or even spoken of. Ever.
You’d think so; Howe seems like a decent bloke, and he’d know this. Also, I’m sure he doesn’t want a player with a long face for the rest of the season. But we could have made it easier by giving them more than half an hour to find a replacement.

Agreed. It sounds like it has legs.

Ex-player, Norwegian and in his prime. Honestly think he could be a decent signing and would do well.

Given this some more thought and it does actually make sense...

Sign him up.

Does show how far we have fallen, though.

Any chance you could implement this as a general policy going forward?

An injured 28 yr old striker that averages about 11 goals a season for 30m, when we’ve apparently got a limited transfer budget each window..

Just doesn’t make sense.

It's not that limited. Ole's spent £200m.

He’s clearly not a goal scoring centre forward, so what type of player is he? Does he get many assists or is a hard working striker that defends from the front etc?

We've just signed a goalie

De Gea
Romero
Hendersen

Pointless signing unless Romero is off

Works hard, gets stuck in and actually tries to head the ball, given our backline nightmares in previous games iirc.

Reckon he could bag more leading our line as well.

I'm all for this. Fred, Fernandes and King all working their %@#$&!s off in the middle of the pitch.
