You can see the attraction to him there for the long pass, which has been devastating on a few occasions especially under Solskjaer. There's probably also a tendency to think he's the best suited to break the press in that deeper area, but he actually doesn't respond well to pressure in front of the back four. He can be extremely casual or indecisive.

Compare even to someone like Gomes of Everton or Neves at Wolves today and they don't do that.

I think if we signed a proper holding midfielder it sort a lot of problems out tbh. We’d actually have someone who can protect the back four while also allowing us to push Pogba further forward which should help the attack out.

I’d take quite a few players from Wolves, Everton and Leicester tbh

As well as Neves there’s Jimenez, Jota, Richarlason, Ndidi, Chilwell, Ricardo, Vardy, Maddison, Moutinho, even Sigurdson is better than our number 10 options.
