He has written a couple of books about us too, I recently read 'Are You Watching Liverpool?' about the 93-94 season which I highly recommend.

Obviously he makes some fantastic points and i don't think anyone here if they had all the options on the table would choose saudi ownership.

Otherwise what do we have? eternal glazer debt for the rest of our days because they're never paying it off.

If the Glazers appointed competent football people to run the club, didn’t saddle the club with hundreds of millions of debt, funnel hundreds of millions out of the club, and spent majority of what we generate, then perhaps I’d not be as enthusiastic.

And of course in an ideal world, as you refer to, if we had 5 billionaires queuing up and one of them was squeaky clean, I’m sure we’d all plump for that option.

But I can’t help but feel we’re being held to different moral standards. The US, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, we could point the finger at them all. But I won’t go down that route

The Saudi's already own 50% of a premier League club and it's NEVER brought up or used against them....

I know we're a different fish, but it's overstated...

Dip into the book thread pal. 'Always In The Running' on my to-do list of his, meant to be a belter.

Did you miss the part where I said ‘We’d be back to Woodward’s first 5 years just as he and the glazers seem to have changed tack.’ It’s in the post you quoted.

Clearly, they’d never, ever do such a thing. Far too ethical. Then again, they probably don’t give a shit about the football.

However Chris recommended a couple of his books, may read them.

For being up for a Saudi takeover ? Couldn’t care less

WWE and Saudi falling out.

Getting into bed with Saudi is like getting into bed with a hot psychopath. Fun at the start but you'll end up in a world of hurt.

They should.

It's a good indicator to the type of relationship we would have with them.

Ed Woodward doing the bionic walk onto the pitch, slamming his blazer down onto the floor as he comes out of the tunnel, then tearing both quads as he reaches the centre-circle, so he just sits there in the middle of the pitch looking dazed and confused as he contemplates what his next step would be at the hands of the Saudi Regime.

Wouldn't mind seeing that to be honest.

Is that really true though?

Isn’t wwe just one big soap?

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s an angle and they’re building up to a Saudis v WWE survivor series special or something

WWE win they get to keep their heads
Saudis win they keep the 500m etc.
