Default Council Tax Banding Appeal

I took a bit of a punt on this after a friend mentioned it but not really expecting any success.

I got a letter through today saying my appeal had been successful so my council tax would drop by 600pa and 11 years of overpayments would be refunded.

You will need evidence of your house being in a higher band than other comparable properties in your street. The process takes a couple of months to be completed.

Always worth a try.

Or you could happily pay your taxes for the benefit of those less fortunate than you.

Paying less council tax is increasing your dependency on handouts, or something.

(that's no less stupid than the stuff some Tory MPs have come out with today)

How much were you paying if you can reduce it by 600?

Amid all this pandemic and Brexit nonsense, a truly heart warming story. If there's one thing we all wanted, it was Tatty to get a financial boon.
