Right decision imo. Done well so far, really you’d need to see more before taking a punt at the fees involved. Miles better for his development too.

It's very sensible. Brighton appear to have their shit togheter and he's a lot of years ahead of him. Sign the contract, keep improving and in 2 years he could be top level. He'd be lost at a truly big club now and no better off at somewhere like Spurs.

They do.

This article in the NYT a couple of weeks ago explains in pretty simple terms why they know what they're doing & how they keep players onside before moving them on for big fees.

Lots of stats slagging on here recently but it's literally how Brighton & Brentford have managed to disrupt the league the way they have. Fair play to them, the old ways always need to blend into the new somehow, maybe not with the language (xG ) but you can obviously manage to look a shitload more competent than your peers whilst spending 10x less.

Every United side needs a good Irish head...

Snap him up...
I would go along with that

They tend to reward players that stay for a season with a bigger deal & an acknowledgement that they can leave for an agreed fee. They just need to identify the replacement & another option in the meantime.

Their list of talents & getting in early doors to slot in is very impressive.

Would be a big fan of getting this kid in alongside a top class no.9 - give them a bit of overlap.
