Hardly ground breaking stuff but this lad is a lot better than people are giving him credit for.

He was excellent in both games against us this season, and I think I recall him giving A.Cole a hard time, too.

He can carry the ball at pace from deep like ronnie did which is a big asset in any team, especially in one like ours which places a lot of emphasis on counter attacking. Good crosser of the ball, too. He hasn't the skill level of Nani yet but he has superb balance for someone so quick. He's a strong £#%&!er as well.

Needs to work on his finishing but the raw materials are there. He can beat men with ease with his pace but he will probably have to become less predictable to excel in our team. The coaching staff will do there job, though.

It's good to see people already writing him off, though

Good post. One of the best football posters on here imo.

Says it all in few words and not a books worth like most of the 'experts'.

In the world of Fred, every player gets written off without a ball being kicked.

They'll have one bad game and will instantly become 'a shit @#%&!'

fwiw, I think he'll be a very good signing for us.

I'll remain sceptical and generally ambivalent towards him unless he signs. Then he'll have my full support.

Rooney isn't fit enough to wear the number 7.

Valencia has already proved himself on the world stage.

Did you catch any of the last world cup or watch him against United?

Aaron Lennon was also brilliant against us as well. Get him in too.

Nani scored more than that tbf. Deserves more of a chance to break through on the goal scoring basis.

In replacing Ronnie, surely we should be trying for 3 proven young-ish world class players to improve the starting XI & the rest in the squad staying as squad members / trying to get their place?
