Journeyman.

It’s a Holland squad where Van Hooijdonk would be by far and away the main striker. The lack of talent these days for this to be a highly sought player

Best we can get atm. Decent options for all slots across the front, can clearly play, is a unit and will only get better. Can’t see the problem with it tbh.

Other than his actual ability, and him being worse than options we already have. No problem at all.

Player with bags of potential. But he has a similar style to martial and rashford. We need a proper natural CF.

No point dropping 60/70 million on a player who maybe slightly better (albeit with more potential) than two players we already have who are both on upwards off 250k a week.

He might be better than elanga, but he's not close to being better than Rashford, antony, martial or garnacho.

"might" be better than elanga....

And likely Sancho, as useless as the little twerp is.

Would smack of signing someone for the sake of signing someone to me. In addition to deducting 50 odd million from our budget for getting in players who will actually take us forwards.

We need a forward, this lad is a forward, he's creative and has an eye for goal, he's not a midget or lightweight, nor does he run like he's in quicksand. Also, and I can not stress this enough, he isn't in his 30's.

Other attainable options that tick those boxes?

We could always sign him with designs on getting some use out of him, improving him and selling him on for a profit in a year or 2?

It's moot tbf, as I doubt we'll be signing this lad, or anyone else. I am miles, miles happier with the link to this fella rather than Eric Choupo Moting though

Crikey.

We need a proper striker not a converted one. Got too many of those shit@#%&!s.

Round pegs in square holes and all that.

What's the point in buying this guy and extending rashford? Neither can play as a striker and that's what we're crying out for.

Other than elanga which of our current forward players is this guy better than?

I hope we find out. Got to trust the manager he's done pretty well so far.

Sancho and a 300k pw Rashford. Martial most of the time just by being available.

Osimhen is the man to fill the centre forward position.

Quick and very good in the air. And actually a proper #9.
