Will be interesting to see how he progresses. Needs to avoid getting destroyed on a weekly basis, mind.

Contradictory articles?

I suspect the Big Man would have loved to have his protégé. Gonna suggest maybe Toni always fancied Madrid tbh.

The more realistic former protégé may well have been Dembele

£5m was the going rate for Dembele in 2012 from Fulham or something? Smh

Oh well. Anyways look forward to Kroos and Seri coming this summer.

United very slow to the Belgian wave. Fergie admitted we looked at Vertonghen and said no, then baulked at Hazard price. Let Dembele go to Spurs. The Big Man passed on Aldi and KdB. Mou put that right but we end up with the shit one (no offence to your boy)

Moyes was up on it tbf

Remember saying we should be all over Vertonghen when he came to OT and bossed it with Ajax in the EL. Had enough CB's at the time, apparently

Apart from needing a dm to replace Carrick (quote Jose) we also need to sort that £#%&!ing defence. It’s alright pointing to the goals against when our entire mf are intent on protecting Smalling etc, thus stunting any creativity. Two or three astute placements here will free up Pogba. No need for Messi, CR7 or Griezmann. Hopefully this is what Mou was alluding to with recent comments “there will be signings but not forwards”.

Yep, Bailey, Lindelof, Tuanzabe and an experienced quality CB would be a very good set

Alderwirald (sp) would be a great option

Yep. Rio was 33/34 at the time. Perfect replacement and the price was good. Tbf at that time Frog thought Smalling was Rio's heir.

All very easy in hindsight of course. But that's their job.

Correct. Even mild mannered Mata was %@#$&!ing smallbrain the other week. Simple enough pass was on, bottled it.

Even if he was under manager's orders, that would be down to his abysmal football skills.

One centre back could transform this team.
