Have you thought about keeping your knickers on?

Persuading 50k season tickets holders - some of whom have had their st’s all their lives and some of whom have waited a lifetime to get theirs - into a mass act of rebellion was always a futile plan. If it was ever to succeed, it needed a major galvanising force - like an iconic manager for example - not a £#%&!ing driving instructor from Tameside. When that same iconic manager was suggesting that everyone should continue to support the club - because he was fully behind it all - then it’s beyond £#%&!ed.

Your blame is misplaced.

it isn't. there's plenty to go round.

anyway, I'm not having this argument again. even though it would still work.

you get what you deserve (which is a front row seat for the descent into mediocrity, in this case. whoop-whoop!).

Like dunk quite rightly pointed out, all we’ve done is replace players we’ve let go over the last 12-18 months.

It’s the same cycle over and over again.

New manager comes in with us in europa and is given 100’s of millions
We get CL qualification and the board only spends the minimum required they think will be enough to keep us in the CL
Other clubs spend and ultimately catch us up and we miss out on CL football Manager gets sacked

New manager comes in with us in the europa…. Etc
There’s certainly a pattern of spending: more when we’re shit, less when we’re good. This even happened under Fergie. 2009 was the first year we saw true Glazernomics. Sell Ronaldo and bring in Obertan, Owen and Valencia.

That was them doing enough to get by.

And because we had the greatest manager, we did.

Once he left, we were simply relying on striking gold with a manager because there’s certainly no plan or structure to support them.

Moyes
LVG
Jose
Ole
Erik

A complete mishmash of styles and backgrounds. All given decent wedges to make it work, but nothing else.

We offer ‘new customer deals’ to our new managers. No plan. No DOF. A money marketing man as CEO and jobs for the boys.

Do well and you’re fine. Just do it again. Fail and you’re out.

That’s it.

Critics points to money spent. Ignoring the fact it’s different managers spending it, often undoing someone else’s ideas, it’s about more than that.

There is absolutely no ambition to be the best. No desire to have the best in class: staff, training facilities. This is backed up by letting the stadium rot.

We do the bare minimum to stay competitive and keep the money rolling in. When the CL money goes because we miss out on qualification, here’s some more money to put that right - but only to bring more back in.

We balance the books and keep things ticking over. That’s about it.

And it’s taken us from a £500m investment to a £6bn asset that they still won’t give because they still think they can milk more.

Oh, and none of it is actually their money.

Parasites. Plain and simple. But yeah, we paid £60m for Casemiro so we should all shut up.

It’s not that simple as you get what you deserve. It’s not a straight line decline because of their business model - it’s a straight line decline because of their abject cluelessness at running a football club coupled with their business model. A competent CEO and competent management structure and we wouldn’t have suffered like we have. Had ferie not nominated David ‘death warmed up’ moyes then our doors might not have slid in such a negative direction.

Do you subscribe to any of the sports channels to watch united? If you don’t now, did you ever after 2005? If so, why?

Predicted what? Years of ‘meh’ as disinterested owners keep the money coming in. I think it’s fairly predictable.

because individual action is futile. it has to be coordinated.

It is…. And its %@#$&!s. We can. We just won’t. Hopefully we’ll get desperate as the clock ticks down. We’ve got previous for that. If we don’t sign any midfielder, someone needs shooting.

We make billions every season and people drone on that we've spent 140m. When all is said and done, the Glazers are absolutely ruining us. Chelsea continue to spend and have about 4 players for every position, whereas we're thinking about playing centre halves in midfield. It's disgusting.

This should have been done ages ago. He probably thinks we're an awful shower of £#%&!ers before he steps foot through the door.

Imagine how low his opinion will be after he walks through it.
