sounds about right. they're doing that thing again where we've so long forgotten what top quality looks like that we throw contracts at anyone that isn't totally useless.

Don’t see the problem with activating the extension. If he plays well this season, even if sparingly, he could end up going next summer on a free without extending.

as noted in the thread, I like him. but he was poor in the first half. your fixation is somewhat pitiful. he certainly hasn't done anything yet to justify a contract extension.

I don't think The Scottish Player will be getting to many in the future though as the the emergence of this kid & the loan signing of Amrabat are gonna push him way down the pecking order I would guess particuly as Manoo is also due to return from injury aswell.
