Yeah, that's gone well for them so far.
He’s such a flip-flopping waste of space, isn’t he?

This Sky bullshitter is the ultimate WUM. He's probably coming on here for intel on what's happening next.

"The Glazers seem to be indicating they are reviewing their options from what we can see"

Removal of debt is irrelevant to the Glazers and the offer price

From FFP wouldn’t it make more sense to have the Glazers clear debt so it’s not seen as new owners pumping money in?

I don’t think that paying off that debt matters in regards to ffp. Other than it improves the club’s position moving forward as it no longer has the payments as an outgoing.

They can’t pay off any outstanding transfer debt though (£200m?) as that would count in the ffp calcs.

Might be wrong though.

Oh yeah I'm sure they've made the qataris and everyone jump through all these hoops and attend all these very public meetings only to turn around and go "you know what Sheik me old son, we don't really need the 5 billion, but thanks anyway"

Ultimately money talks. If Qatar wants it, it will get it. Any complexities in the middle may give a few traders and plenty of accountants and lawyers etc. a chance to make a nice return, but it’s not going to affect the outcome.
