A left footed Dalot. Great workrate but so technically bereft

Maybe Shaw wasn't the best left back in the world after all.

A bit harsh. He's decent on the ball, gets into good positions, crosses well and seems relatively sound defensively.

As far as emergency loans go, he looks ok. He looks better than Malacia.

we should've got him when he went to spurs imo. Him, Tierney and the midget at Brighton are my kind of fullbacks.

Would love to know what Shaw's got on jem. Maybe from his time on the south coast?

A tryst in Brighton? The mind boggles.

right. he must be blackmailing me to suggest he's not total shit. it couldn't be that your opinion is total shit. added to your list.

shaw is the best left back at the club and arguably the best cb, too. will let you know when we get someone better and he can be relegated to back-up.

will add homophobic hate speech your list, too, incidentally.

I’ve warmed to shaw a bit over the last season or so. If he could just avoid doing that thing where he gives 20 yards of space to every attacking winger that approaches him - simply because he’s scared shitless of his fat arse being out run - then he might be ok.

As it is, I prefer my defenders to be 100% less passive. Even Dalot was throwing himself around last night.

Tbf it just seems to be Saka he’s terrified off these days. Assuming Saka has a massive piece and Shaw’s caught a glimpse of it in the changing rooms when on international duty. It can be intimidating.

Shaw doesn’t seem the kind of guy to run away from a proper room darkener. Quite the opposite if anything.

What's homophobic or hate speech? It sounds romantic.

There's a lovely Japanese restaurant in Brighton. I can picture it now... too much plum wine... Shaw's backpack getting in the way... fumbling behind the train station.

More innocent times! He was only getting the 4:40 to Southampton as well.

was very well thought of at madrid and was excellent in his loan at (spit) sevilla. was a bit of a coup when spurs got him and obviously didn't go well for him there but he was still pretty young for a defender.

proper talent there, still maybe open to question. good start though.

looks like we were in the conversation when he went to spurs...

If by proper room darkener you mean buffet, I agree completely.

Shaw

Always wanted to be a lcb because the fat £#%&!er can’t hack the slog up and down the wing. Any wonder he leaves acres of space because he can’t make it back to defend? … and we’re surprised he likes to sit in Martinez place just like he did with Maguire before slab picked him up and chucked him out of his 6yd box

Shame, cos when he lays off the Cornettos there’s not many better

Shaw is £#%&!ed. We're going to need a replacement for him because it's clear the long-term damage on that leg of his is going to cut his career short.
