That was the expectation though, he’d got 28(?) the previous season.

He scored 50 goals in the season before he came here. If that ain’t a pomp, I don’t know what is.

That’s playing in France tbf. 35/36 is back end of career. But if you’re taking that as pomp the last one was Serie A top scorer(?) Ronaldo.

'Pomp' means being in the best form of their life and likely to never exceed...

Ronaldo wasn't in his 'pomp'.

RVP was...

Lukaku was just shit.

Neither was Zlatan, that was my point.

I don’t think Lukaku has done much better than that season with Everton? The one in Serie A 2 seasons ago maybe. We bought him at his absolute best and expected 30 goals a season.

The point being it’s not that simple.

If the manager wants this fella, get him. If he wants Kane or Osimhen, get them. If you can’t get them do you just not buy anyone?

Talk that we’ll have a bit of a nibble at Kane, get £#%&!ed off then sign this lad sharpish.

If we can get Kane, this fella will be subject to sales later in the window.

Only scored one goal pre World Cup after signing for Atalanta and has scored all of his goals in the new year (including 5 in two internationals) which shows that he's a developing talent and only getting better. Sign him now, he's cheaper and younger than that Ramos at Benfica.
