He's in a different country to be fair. I am quite close to Reid and McCaffrey these days though, so I'll see what I can do .

Might go for German telly - only one commentator and he hardly says anything. And I don't understand a word anyway

it's been shocking.

They all follow the same format - all ex-pros = the 'joker', the foreigner who's English is so bad that you have to watch it from behind the settee with embarrassment, the jaded old £#%&!s like Hansen, the self declared sages, ex-managers etc..
Why so many pundits for every game ffs. 2 is plenty.

Clark Carlisle getting a commentary gig! ..I don't even know who he played for. Everyone going off as if he's some kind of Footballing Einstein because he was on Countdown! ...he's reasonably articulate at best ffs & his opinion on the game is of no interest to anybody.

I watched the quarters on German telly, he basically says the names of the players as they get the ball and that's about it. Was ace tbf

Sky 1

Got Gianluca Vialli with the main commentator.

Not a bad team really until they get too excited and speak way to fast for me to understand.

Was good viewing when Italy went out, hours and hours pouring over every moment that cost them something, even if it was only a free kick.

Cool

ITV have such a bad rep, channel 4 should bid and do some rival coverage for the next one. They'd definitely get viewers and take biiiiig on the advertising:

I'm thinking Sascha Baron Cohen presenting

Eric, James Richardson and Edgar Davids as commentators/pundits

Make it as alternative of as possible, get some world cup nutters involved...money in the bank!

somebody make this happen

The commentator I've been hearing just seems to say what side of the pitch the ball is on. Or 'tactichefoul'

Ffs.

I must have pressed the wrong one by accident, and I only realised when I checked the results to find out who was the solitary @#%&! watching ITV

What's Alan Hansen doing with himself now his BBC career is over? Sky, BT? A role with the vermin?

Or a rent boy maybe?

All about the commentary teams. If Pearce and Lawrenson are involved, I'm with Clive. Who is also shit.
