I think that, and some of the other analysis, is a bit generous.

Hardly went toe to toe, they battered us in the second half

Arsenal deserved the win, but they only won because of our mistakes.

Also one of the reasons we struggled to get out, we couldn’t get it to either FB to carry forward when we were losing it through the middle.

Saka didn’t achieve anything when up against Shaw btw, the goal came when he managed to get onto Eriksen. Similar Martinelli v AWB, got very little joy.
Yup…Other than making him look silly.

A massive stretch to claim Shaw did well, it was the poorest game he has had for a while.

I'm.surprised at some of the reaction to yesterday's game. We were distinctly second best for large periods of the game.

I think part of the reaction is due to us looking absolutely exhausted, as opposed to just being shit.

Any team who have ever played the game could say that

Any team who have lost against Arsenal because of self-inflicted mistakes is a bit different to any team who has ever played football. Completely different sample size.

99.9% of goals will have a mistake in them somewhere.

We were beaten by a better side

They were the better side at Old Trafford too. But we made less mistakes.

.
Shaw didn’t do well. He continually tried to defend against Saka whilst standing 10 yards off him. Not having support from the wingers shouldnt affect that.

He’s been brilliant this season - he can have a bad game and still be playing well overall. Not sure why it’s difficult for people to acknowledge that.

Problem being, with no support, if he goes to him and Saka skips by, he and we are £#%&!ed.

Been saying for a while, Dalot and AWB improved since Antony arrived. They don’t get a ton of support Burt more than nothing that they previously had. It shows. On the other wing, Shaw has Rashford or Nacho, neither of whom are particularly helpful ….. or Martial.

That’s a bit harsh imo. Arsenal are streets ahead of us and they won with a very fortunate goal in the last minute of the game.

No surprise they overloaded both full backs , pep has done this against us a few times recently especially against dalot 6-3 and awb 4-1 and the 0-2 at home . Having grealish foden bernardo mahrez doubling up over them .

Anyway, 4 pts from 9. Not terrible when you weigh up the circs.

Ciddy, as big as it gets in terms of effort reqd

Forced to play Palace but Arsenal weren’t directed to play their game in hand

100% pen denied (again) and Case gets a yellow/misses the next big one. Palace player smashes Rashford in the face: no action. Palace get a free kick over 30 yards out but take it from 25 yards = goal

Fresh Arse team manage to scrape 3 pts in the last minute

Erik/process will cope

And Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle haven’t faired much better either. We’ve played the top two teams twice already and we’ve come out of this spell in as a good of a position as we went in (or thereabouts)

And we won the derby 😎
