Except in 6 of 7 league seasons, Hazard's goals exceeded his assists. He recorded low single digit assists in three of his final four seasons. He was, by literal definition of the word you have chosen to use and query the meaning of, therefore a scorer more than a creator. Do you really want to ask what 'primarily' means again?

With penalties included, in their equivalent 4 league seasons since Rashford turned 21 (seems a fair barometer to use) their G/A output is equal. Once penalties are removed (17 league penalties for Hazard v 6 for Rashford), the comparisons between the two do not flatter Hazard.

Won't be fashionable for those who consider Marcus to be one of the chief ailments of the team, but there we go.

Taking away penalties, Hazard has 68 goals and 55 assists in his Premier League career. These are not the numbers of someone who is ‘mainly’ a goal scorer
