Default Electric Tahith Chong stars in five-star win

Tahith Chong 9*
How Blues have managed to sign Chong in the Championship is anyone’s guess. Absolutely everything went through the Dutchman and he was joyous to watch.

Hogan was the beneficiary of Chong’s brilliance with two goals put on a plate for him. Chong’s first assist was a delightful chip into the box, with his second a rapid run from well inside his own half that ended with Hogan getting a simple tap-in.

rave reviews of him.

Brummies in disbelief about how they were able to get him on loan.

Reporter on Sky was full of praise for him too. Good for him 👍

Been their star man every time he’s played. Was brilliant in CM first game and then wide right.

There might be a player there yet

Mate is a Birmingham season ticket holder and says he's the best player they've had since Dugarry. They're raving about him.

Apparently outstanding today, and also was MotM on his debut last week, playing all across the midfield.

Got his own song now as well.

fair play, always been skillfull but was just a gangly string bean of a lad.

looks like he's becoming a man now. That league will do him good.

We all forget he had a year out as well. Looks like there’s some muscle o his bones at last. As you say, a full season in the Champ could be the making of him we might even get £5m for this one

Video with his first assist and other bits of passing.

Good on him, got a long way to but only 21 still (thought he was a couple of years older tbh).

It’s easy to sneer and say “it’s only the championship” but it’s a tough league and exactly what these kids need, to excel in it is not easy. Especially as a forward. Promising start for the lad.

Chong was sensational today at Luton, someone mentioned about Blues buying him, I think that they would have to sell all the team and then more, but he is an exceptional talent and if over the season he can rub some of his talent on others at the club then hopefully before he leaves he will have done a great job. Reminded me of TF when he came into the blues team as a 16 year old, very similar in style but Chong is magical. Perhaps with TF it was that he had class players around him, Latchford bros, Hatton, Taylor, Burns and later Kendall. The current first team squad is nowhere near the blues players of the 70s but as I say if Chong can rub some of his magic to the current team then we can build on that
I was there "who's tf?" for a minute. Trevor Francis! ffs.

The wigs at OT if him and Hannibal end up as our midfield two.

It was Bellingham that £#%&!ed us off tbf. Birmingham we’re fine with him coming to OT.

Plus, there’s another Bellingham, who was in the squad at 15 years old in the week, so best to keep them sweet..

He's looked overawed every time he's played for us.

Hopefully means we will get some money for him if he continues to perform.

Early days though. If he continues at the same level for the season then it will mean something.

Personally, I'm waiting to see if he can do it on 19 February. Weather will be shocking.

Jesse Lingard had a spell on loan at Birmingham City and scored 4 on his debut…seems a good place to send our youngsters
