I feel sorry for you. My wife`s boss took his own life on Christmas Eve 3/4 years ago otherwise I probably wouldn`t have took such an interest. He was a millionaire to.

A good few degrees of separation there, so it's not quite so harsh

good on you though for taking such an interest

Apparently not:

I must be an easy target. Every footballer has a tag and unfortunately mine is, ‘Let’s have a laugh at him.’

“But -- and I say this in the nicest possible way -- I know who’ll have the last laugh. I’m proud of my career and when it finishes and I’m enjoying my life. The keyboard warriors will still be in their mum’s spare bedroom, sipping Diet Pepsi that’s flat, eating a Pot Noodle, sitting in their boxers, tweeting.
bit harsh on anyone with > 20,000 fred posts tbf

Wow - turns out Phil actually is scum of the earth.

Refuses Varane the number 4. Hasn't been seen at training for years. Refuses loans, and now he's sacked his work gimps for claiming some petrol money. Incredible. The balls on this guy.

Yeah, probably around the same time that article came out.

I only noticed it was old news when I saw a link to a story about Martial being fit for a game

Leaving at the end of the season.

All the grimaces, all the gurns, all the pained expressions over the years, that @#%&! has been responsible for a high percentage of mine.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Phil. In case the inevitable injury delays your leaving again.
