the one where he tried to slip the wide man in with a cute little ball inside the full back was abysmal - but similar to a few of zlatan's recently.

mata is our top man for creativity right now, he's playing superb. taking him off was sacrilege, especially considering who came on. probably just a legs thing tbf, but...

We're £#%&!ing relying on a 35 year old has-been who's playing his first season in the Premier League to score us goals and he's £#%&!ing up consistently. FOR £#%&!S SAKE

Not a big fan of Mata but he didn't get bullied today, found and made use of the little spaces to link up the play and almost scored.

Herrera can't tackle for shit.

You want to know the real difference between United and City/Arsenal - it's that we've got unproven kids like Rashford and Lingard whereas they've got De Bruyne, Silva, Sanchez, Sterling, Ozil all extremely expensive star players.
Because our extremely expensive star players Martial and Mkhitaryan have gone AWOL.

Arsenal play Iwobi regularly. He has fitted in seamlessly. Maybe because they are much better trained to know each other's movements and traits. Stringing together counters and stepping up a gear has become habitual whereas we haven't got that cohesiveness. It will take time but a starting point would be giving our young gifted forward a run in his position which initially he made his own while Zlatan can sit out for a while.

The scapegoating is strong tonight...

You get days like this from time to time, but if it was in the middle of a spell of us playing great football and winning for fun it'd be a bit easier to take. The pressure now is absolutely stifling, it's horrible. Nothing going our way.

Come on United

Because our transfer budget went on the midfield? Theres no decent wide players in the squad so it's resorted to us playing promising strikers there. Burnley ffs

I think they're the one being mocked for 'taking positives' out of the game.

To me, there's a big difference between that 0- 0 and many of our 0-0s last season.

The 0-0s last season were deserved. They were right in the context of the game. This game, the Stoke game, was nothing more than not converting numerous chances into goals/the opposition's keeper pulling off save after save. Finishing needs to improve. It really was that simple.

The problem is that the two draws have been very costly. We can't afford any more. Our margin for error is shrinking by the week.

On a positive note I thought Darmian had his best performance in a red shirt

Shaw on the other hand looks a shadow of the player before his leg break which is a worry
Not getting enough overlaps from him going forward which is isolating Rashford at times

I didn't think Shaw was bad at all. And he saved our arses when we most needed it.

Darmoh was good.

Yes, thought Darmian was very solid and more aggressive going forward than he has been. Should have won us two penalties too.

Shaw is a strange one became the first few games he looked like nothing had ever happened, but suddenly regressed a little. Hope it's just a spell.

Too many players still looking for their best form and it's resulting in a lack of consistency and we can't get any confidence or momentum going... ...frustrating, because the general play and positivity is good.

Can't point to anyone in the team right now and say they're playing in top form. The team is still being changed all the time, players adjusting to a new way of playing after 2 years of playing a completely different way....

..I'm surprised we've looked this dominant over the last 3 home games tbh. It's a bit of a shock to see us creating chance after chance, given the last couple of years where chances have been scarce.

All you can do is hope that they'll start burying these chances they're creating. Someone, somewhere has to hit form for us surely.

Chelsea, Spurs & Arsenal all playing against each other in the next couple of weeks...we'll have a proper look at things after christmas.

Yes, but it's three draws with a loss sandwiched between. And two defeats earlier in the season. And three of those have come against watford, Stoke and Burnley. It doesn't mean we can't turn fortunes aroun, but we simply can't afford many more dropped points in games where we dominate.

We needed to win today. We needed this to be the start of making up ground. José said as much himself.

You were saying '6 games' a while back, you're saying 'not November yet' now.....it'll be 'wait til Christmas' before we know it.

Its not just the fact it's a point. It's a point in a game we should win, that other teams around us would win.

We can't afford any more draws in games like that.

"In games like these"

I agree, but you didn't say that at first...

And xmas is the time to look at the table...if you're within 8/9 points you have a chance..

Pogba took a lot of shit early doors for constantly vacating his position, and rightly so, yet no one talks about Lingard. All he ever does is drift inside where we don't need him and onto his weaker foot. I'm not privvy to the instructions from the manager, but I'm pretty sure Lingard is not good enough to have been given licence to roam all over the shop.

Yep. Amidst the shitty results and seemingly ceaseless frustration of this £#%&!ing team, I do think the general standard of play has improved from the genuinely depressing stuff of most of last season.

We need points though. A contrast to around this time last year where we were surprisingly well placed despite not playing great. Then our performances started to catch up with us.
