They finished 1 point behind City and drew at OT. If the nazi had not been a bitch, he'd have beaten us easily. 3 injured players in the first 30 minutes, then a 4th we couldn't take off for 50 minutes.

None of them mention that ?

They just dropped points. Its happens. They weren't throwing away leads or playing crap when it really mattered.

Their biggest crime was dropping eight points from their final 14 games.

Four of those were away to us and Everton. 2 more at West Ham. The home draw with Leicester was the biggest £#%&! up..

Even their early season draws were at arsenal and Chelsea and at home to city.

If you'd have said to them after that Everton draw that they'd win every game for the rest of the season, they'd be sure they'd win the league.

City just rattled off 14 wins in a row. 18 of the last 19 won. Sensational.

Liverpool have been outstanding. That's why they got 97 points. There's been no lack of character or bottle.

City were just that bit better.
Well summarised.

Remains to be seen how they react next season. Bleak outlook, whichever way you look at it. Hard to see past anything but a repeat but naturally, there’s nearly always a tendency to expect the same again. Doesn’t always happen by any means, though. But from this point, the only change remotely possible appears to be Spurs and that’s unlikely.

Happy days. At least they reached 30 years.

Having urged the Berts to win all season, now we have to get behind Spurs.

Coys.

Lfc have been very good.

They've also had 10 goals given to them this season that were offside, dived pens. They've had huge luck and City still did em.

So, after their near miss, will there be even more sympathy for them and more pens + offsides etc?

I’m convinced a lot of ref decisions are a result of media scrutiny. Any favourable ones we get are picked over and refs put under the microscope. Likewise, them with the hordes of ex players drawing attention to injustices. It won’t get any better whilst media have a major influence.

As I’ve pointed out before, the most telling comment for me, came from Andre Marriner last season when questioned re: a decision he didn’t give United: “I didn’t want to be the star of the show on motd tonight “

It is a bit small time but they do have a bit of a point on the 97 point thing, I mean, we've never managed it have we.

Thanks
Yeah, but it was 80- something without having to murder anyone. That’s like an extra point.

Often had an extra day’s rest/prep before games in the first half of the season and always given the advantage of playing before city in the run in. Everything’s been stacked in their favour this season.

Hopefully the rumours of salah falling out with klopp and wanting away is true.

If we're going by facts, makes them the second best team of all time, doesn't it?

Thanks

No. It makes them the second best team over a fixed 38 game season, 2018-2019.

That they have 18 titles, and Manchester United have 20, makes them the second best team of all time in this particular competition.

You're very welcome.

Agreed. If you choose to look at it objectively, Manchester United are the greatest English team of all time.

Everton fans showing bitterness to level 10. Under the stand at Spurs whilst their game is going on outside

Why? Are you getting a joint winners trophy after Klopp bottles another final?
