i take (small) comfort in the fact that 'old trafford' is probably more commercially viable to them than 'the manchester nike bowl' or some shite.

City of Manchester stadium is generic and not well known. Everyone all around the world knows Old Trafford

surely this is correct and can't have been part of the leasing deal surely?

If they can, its a total £#%&! by the council for a change

uefa said ages ago that rich mongs cant get by the selling of shirt sponsorhip and ground names to their own companies, that the money they get for doing such things has to be the fair market price...i.e you cant sell naming rights to yourself for 15884ml a season

they'l get 10mil max.

He added: "I just received an email from Brian Marwood's secretary, a lady at the club called Claire, telling me to report for training on July 9.

"But when I spoke to the other players, I found out the first team was leaving for the pre-season tour of the USA on July 8.

"So it's clear they don't want me here but no one even called. Brian Marwood just got his secretary to send me an email.

"And I heard this was the same with at least six other players"

Dzeko will be the next one treated like this, cos again, he's turned up and been shite. They really are £#%&!ed without Tevez

They'll be trying their hardest to get a a fair few players to put in transfer requests so they don't have to pay up contracts.

Hold tight boys, don't blink.

This stadium name change is a £#%&!ing ruse. Manchester City, United Stadium, Manchester. They are just going to use it to bamboozle unsuspecting players that they are us.

I bet they are back on the blower to Sanchez now...

Bayern initially offered €9 million for the defender, while City demanded €20m. The German side increased their bid to €12m, and earlier this week were reportedly close to reaching an agreement on a €15m release, but have apparently failed in their final offer.

Rummenigge went on to criticise City for their reluctance to sell Boateng, despite their surplus of defenders and the player's desire to move to Munich.

"At the moment they're using a tactic that I've never seen: they don't respond, even if we try to contact them.

"And this is so even though they have signed two players for exactly the same position in recent days."

City have indeed signed defenders Gael Clichy and Stefan Savic this week, but nonetheless are insistent upon keeping Boateng, who is under contract until 2014.

The Bayern CEO then lambasted City for their policy on the 22-year-old as Financial Fair Play takes effect.

"I think they are going to have 48 players under contract, but according to Financial Fair Play they can have only 25. And according to their last balance sheet, if I'm correct, they are minus €143m," he explained. "Maybe they still have a trick up their sleeves but I'm not sure that they will be permitted to play in the Champions League."
I've always liked Bayern Munich
