That's probably it for him as a top flight manager now.

Blackburn, City, Fulham, QPR, Stoke, Southampton...with his best spell his arguably at Blackburn.

His failures have made him a millionaire nqat, but he needs a move abroad to rejuvenate his career if he's not willing to drop to the Championship or Scotland.

There is a ton of money to be made on the journeymanager circuit, especially for well known retired players. Fail in one club, get paid off, get another club, rinse and repeat. Once you've exhausted the premiership, then national side manager for some smaller country is the next option before retiring a very rich person.

There's also a shed load to be made on the punter circuit for those ex players that can string two words together but are not good enough to (continue to) be a manager

He was also just 3 points away from managing two relegated teams in one season. Not every manager can hit those highs

As others have said on here - idolised as a player but once he left United & then as a manager - he's a £#%&!ing #@&%!.
