They've spent 45 minutes kicking anything that moves and a Brighton player got booked for a clashing of feet

Brighton, goal aside, have been shit.

They’ve been massively underwhelming this season compared to last. Nobody really mentioning it. Not sold on De Zerbi. They were never getting anything here today.

Good to see Salah get his goal after throwing himself to the floor for 65 minutes.

Players sold and players injured have really made them a much worse team this year

Liverpool have completely battered them
Pressed right up on them
Have 4 of their back 5 (if you include the keeper) out and they still don’t change how they play

They sell their best players every summer tbf. And are still 9th. Relative to the size of the club, they are still massively punching above their weight.

Oh, absolutely. Just meant in comparison to last season. You see their limitations with the hectic schedule. I think there’s a bit of ‘second season syndrome’ with De Zerbi too

I’d expect that from a club that has had the same manager for 9 years tbf.

I £#%&!ing hate this passing out from the back shit. I £#%&!ing hate it. Every team does it and about 3 teams do it well.

All it does is play into the hands of teams who are better. Nobody poses different problems any more it’s the same shit every game. Shit teams turn up and get turned over easily.

It’s a cop out too. Managers get away with being shit because they’re playing the game ‘the right way’

Championship clubs do it too.

It’s why the likes of klopp and Guardiola get arsey when teams don’t turn up and try and do a low-rent version of what they do. “Ooh you parked the bus” etc etc.

Nothing used to make me laugh more than when Arsenal would play someone like Stoke and get dragged off their high horse back in the 2000s. As if there was only one acceptable way to play football.

Yep. It’s £#%&!ing boring too. I hate the way it’s accepted that it’s the best way to play. City are amazing to watch. They’re not. It’s impressive, but I don’t find it entertaining. Different match ups make sport interesting.

Arsenal kind of shrinking under the challenge at the moment.
