im 100% Matic as well. He isnt a great runner these days but Fred can run Until we buy some quality for Central Midfield he has to play for me.

We need a 4-1-2-1-2 formation.

Huge emphasis on the full backs to improve their crosses but for now.... some big names need to be sacrificed. Literally ideally.

The Scottish Player. Rotate.
Cavani. Like him but sell.

so... our worst midfielder, our most untrusted midfielder and someone who is too much of a @#%&! to play centre-back? jaysus.

I like lindelof's quarterback play, but not enough to watch 89 minutes of him being bullied in defence or wandering around the midfield tundra like a shy stoat.

There isn’t a single 11 or formation that doesn’t badly expose at least one player and present a serious problem.

It is almost futile picking one.

Serious work needs doing on movement, the speed of our passing, shape defensively / offensively and how to effectively press. Not to mention how to defend set pieces.

You can pick any 11 you want, they will all have the same above failings, which have to be pointed directly at the manager and his coaching team.

Varane is better than what we had, the defence is no better.

Ronaldo is bette than what we had, the attack is no better.

Our problems go beyond individuals and best 11s.

The other problem at the moment is that one of our better players, Bruno, is losing possession too easily. Harsh call, but he needs a break imo.

He doesn't need a break. he needs to be reigned in by the £#%&!ing manager.

If one of your players is showing no regard for defensive duties and constantly trying ridiculous hollywood passes that end up in row Z then you pull him to one side in training and explain in no uncertain terms that he should £#%&!ing keep it simple and show some discipline.

Is more or less the right answer At the minute I'd have Matic and Rashford in for Vdb and Sancho.

The defence picks itself.

No idea on the midfield.

Would like to see a front 3 of sancho, rashford and Greenwood

bearing in mind the back five picks itself and no one should be leaving bruno or greenwood out, it's surprising how many people are picking fred, d.on or pogba... but all three? gtfo. I could just about see The Scottish Player, matic and one of those three, probably pogba for the upside. with bruno, rashford and greenwood ahead of them.

Fred is starting to remind me of Owen Hargreaves.

Everyone thought he was a holding midfielder and tried to keep him there but he was always more effective in front of Carrick.

Perhaps Fred and Pogba should be ahead of the CDM (I think Lindelof but I know others prefer Matic still) and we go with a 4-3-3 variant?

Should be Beeky and Bruno with Matic or Fred holding. The Scottish Player should be Beeky's understudy. Pogba should be Bruno's.

That's how you control games from midfield. You don't do it with Bruno playing off the striker.
