Yes ten Hag showing who is boss. But we do need Martial as an option, and to actually stay fit for once.

He’s had a poor start to the season (by his standards) what’s he going to be back for? Shouting at players when he doesn’t get the ball or mouth off when he is subbed?

Fair play for ETH not getting drawn into things post match yday. Simple, I’d deal with it tomorrow , tonight is about the good performance.

God knows what Jose or ole would have done.

Jose would have slagged him off and given him the captaincy in the next game.

Ole would have laughed and say he gave him permission to go.

Ronaldo calls Ole a @#%&! post match. When asked about it after the game, Ole grins and says “that’s football”

Good. At least the camera won’t cut to him every two seconds.

Watershed moment last night. Our best performance and the end of Ronaldo. Love the guy, but it’s done now. We’ll be better off.

Should never have come to this. He wanted to leave in the summer and the club should have done far more to facilitate that, instead they left the new manager with a ticking time bomb of a player on the slide with a massive ego.

Dont you remember ralf subbing him then sitting next to him on the bench, his hand on ronaldo's knee, explaining that substitutions are for the good of the team?

Ole apologises to Ronaldo in press conference and gives up his car park space.

The Humiliation Kinkers (TM: Marlo) spent a decade living vicariously through him in the years following "I am slave" and his engineering an exit from the club the first time round. It runs deep. It took a while for them to appreciate that a mudded 37 year old could not work at the front of Ten Hag football and was in fact an enormous contributing factor to the vapid football of last season and porous defence: that does now seem to be widely accepted at least. The foulness of Ronaldo's behaviour and complete disregard shown for club/fans/colleagues since pre-season onwards will be the final penny to drop, but it will come.

The second he said he wanted to leave, that should have been it.

Yup.

His hands were tied though….

Glad that the board has finally backed a manger over trouble makers in the squad.
