Are you playing Gibson on the right or Owen on his own up front there?

Not sure I would risk Evans given Ferdinand doesn't appear fully fit.

I'm trying to guess Fergie but i suspect he'll want to give Scholes and Carrick a game so Gibson will get shunted right

Thought i'd get a response earlier.

Quoteless reports suggest if Krusty has a good game tonight he'll replace Foster. Think that'd be a bit harsh on Foster personally but i'd wish PIG all the best.

I would have like Rio to be in the squad personally but meh...

PIG

De Laet
Evans
Brown
Fabio

Valencia
Carrick
Gibbo
Nani

Macheda
Owen

I understand Withers' point re. Evans but this may 'only' be the league cup but it's a great chance for some of the lads to get important games therefore I'd pick a strong spine to our side tonight. With this in mind I was tempted to chose Scholes ahead of Gibbo but I think he deserves a go...

Solskjaer pleased for Norwegian pair

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is delighted to see his compatriots Magnus Eikrem and Joshua King handed first-team squad numbers.

The talented young Norwegians have been given the boost ahead of Wednesday's Carling Cup tie against Wolves, and Solskjaer feels they are reaping the rewards of an impressive start to the season in the Reserves.

Eikrem has revelled in a switch from the wing to central midfield, while powerful forward King has made the step up from the under-18s with great aplomb.

"It's exciting for them, of course," Solskjaer told ManUtd.com. "They've both started the season very well, and the manager has been impressed with what they've done for us in the Reserves.

"They've been given the numbers so they've got a chance of maybe being in the squad against Wolves in the Carling Cup, and I'm very pleased for them both."

Seventeen-year-old King will wear number 41 - worn so successfully last term by Federico Macheda - while 19-year-old Eikrem has been handed the number 42 shirt.
