Is he cup tied?

Going by my knowledge of football manager, can't he play for Ajax in the qualifiers but then be registered for a different team in the group stages? No?

Daniel Alves pulled out of the Sevilla squad last week as he didn't want to be cup tied,
If Huntelaar played last night then he is cup tied.

We should still sign him, get him in for a year to get experience and add squad depth in the PL. He's still raw anyway so we can afford to not play him in Europe. Hunt the Hunter!!!!!

Exactamundo. Wait until next season and he could go to Juve or Madrid.
Plus we're not going to win the European Cup anyway.

Yes we are, we're well set up for the CL this year with the additions of Tevez and Hargo.

I agree with the man from St. Asaph. We have the right blend of players, and depth of squad, to go all the way in the CL this season.

They should though, why wait another year after which his price will go up and others will be after him. Get him in now, get him a years experience at the club and he'll be a better player for us than next year if we waited 'til then. Makes perfect sense to me.

Fergie will somehow manage to spread the fear in the side and we'll look nervous come the latter stages again.

Besides, the CL has become a bit of a lottery in recent years.
